Establish a New ACH Template

We provide many easy-to-use templates for many transfer types, including payroll, tax payments, consumer debits and credits, cash concentration, disbursements, and vendor payments. ACH Transfer templates enable you to automatically define information about the receiving financial institution and add multiple ACH transfers using easy to use templates. You can leverage all templates at any time, without having to reestablish each transfer one at a time. In addition, any time you generate process a new template, the system requires approvals for transfers to be processed as accurately as possible. The system divides templates into two categories: payment templates and collection templates. The steps that follow use the +New payment template option as an example.

To establish templates based on NACHA standard or Non-NACHA (fixed width or delimited) file formats, use the File import templates function.

Establish a new transfer template:

  1. Sign in to Business Online or Abiliti.

  2. Select Payments & Transfers. The Payments & Transfers page appears.

  3. Select ACH. The ACH transfer page appears.

We use the Payroll ACH Type as an example only.

  1. Click the Templates tab. The system displays a list of available templates.

  2. Click + New payment template. The New payment template box appears.

  3. Select an ACH Type from the drop down list (for example, Payroll - PPD) and click Continue. The New template [Template Name] box appears.

  1. Type a Template name.

  2. Select the Template group from the drop-down list.

  3. Select the Repeat check box if the template is for recurring transfers.

  4. Type the From amount.

  5. Type the To amount.

  6. Select the Frequency from the drop-down list.

  1. In the User access section, complete the following fields.

  1. To enable the template for all users select the All current and future users option.

  2. To enable the template for specific users, select the Specific users option. Select the appropriate check boxes for each user that you want to have access to the template.

  1. From the Pay from section, establish the following:

  1. Optional. Type the Account number to filter by the account number of the Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI).

  2. Optional. Type the Amount to filter by the amount to be paid from the specified accounts to be debited.

  3. Optional. Type the Identification to filter by the identification number that the system associates with the originator of the transfer.

  4. Optional. Type the Name, to filter by the name of the customer that the system associates with the account to be debited from.

  5. Optional. Click the Pay all switch to turn on the Hold option for all transfers in the batch.

  6. Type the Identification number.

  7. Type the Name.

  8. Optional. Type any Discretionary data.

  9. Optional. Type the Payment information to include notes about the transfer.

  1. In the Pay to section, complete the following fields.

  1. Type the Name of the recipient.

  2. Type the Identification number of the recipient.

  3. Type the Routing transit number of recipient.

  4. Type the Account number of the recipient.

  5. Select the appropriate Account type from the drop-down list.

  6. Type the Amount to deposit in the recipient's account.

  1. Select the appropriate Template group from the drop-down list.

  2. Click Save.

  3. Sign out of Business Online or Abiliti.
