The following table lists definitions for all holds-related inquiry types.

Application Functionality Check Holds  
Transaction Research/Request Holding Funds / Dead Transfer Client was notified via email Fiserv is holding funds and we ask for their input on where to put the funds. If they don't respond, the credit is added to their next reclamations invoice.
Transaction Research/Request Release Profile From Hold Request an end user hold (usually linked to fraud or scam) be removed. Fiserv has to research and ultimately decision if that action is too risky or not for further loss.
Transaction Research/Request Restricted Hold Inquire why a restricted hold was placed on a specific transaction (decision from Risk engine). These can turn into requests to release the hold. Clients have to decision and release the holds themselves in Compass and there are KB articles on these steps.
Transaction Research/Request Transaction On Hold The client sees a transaction is on hold in Compass and needs assistance with understanding why its on hold or to inquiry about next steps with the transaction.
Transaction Research/Request Transaction Speed An end user questions why a transaction couldn't go instant or next day.
