The following table lists definitions for all inquiry types related to an incorrectly sent transaction.

Inquiry Category Inquiry Name Description
Transaction Research/Request Customer Does Not Recognize Sender The end user gets money from a sender they don't know and doesn't understand why they received money from them. Fiserv attempts to make arrangements with sending FI to give the funds back.
Transaction Research/Request Non-Fraud - Good Faith Attempt The end user sends funds to the wrong token / FI. Fiserv submits a good faith recovery request asking receiving FI to give the funds back. That FI is not obligated to give the funds back, hence the "good faith".
Transaction Research/Request Non-Fraud - Wrong Payment Location The end user sent funds to the wrong place. Fiserv researches trace numbers with receiving FI and requests the money back.
Transaction Research/Request Payment Sent to Wrong User/Token Request a good faith credit return for the sender because they sent the payment to the wrong receiver's token.
