Import a Non-NACHA File Using a New Template

The ACH User Interface enables you to import a Non-NACHA file while simultaneously establishing a new Non-NACHA import template.

Import a Non-NACHA file using a new template

  1. Log in to Business Online or Abiliti.

  2. Select Payments & Transfers. The Payments & Transfers page appears.

  3. Select ACH. The ACH Activity page appears.

  4. Click the +Import file hyperlink. The Import file page appears.

  5. In the Import file section, complete the following fields.

    1. Select Non-NACHA.

    2. Select the File location using the Browse button.

    3. Select Create a new template from the Template drop-down list.

    4. Select the ACH transfer type from the Type drop-down list.

  1. Click Continue. The Import file page appears with all the import details.

  1. Complete the following fields.

    1. Type the Template name.

    2. Select the Tax identification number from the drop-down list.

    3. Select the Template group from the drop-down list.

    4. Select the appropriate Insert decimals into amounts option.

    5. Select Delimited or Fixed width as the File format.

    6. Type the number of Header and Footer rows to exclude.

    7. Select the Text qualifier from the drop-down list.

    8. Select all appropriate Column options.

File Preview

The preview of the ACH file format. If the imported file contains data in columns, Layout Preview displays a drop-down list for each numbered column; select each column's data type from the Column # drop-down.

The data type varies by the ACH transfer type specified for the template. If only a single column displays in Layout Preview, define the data types in the Apply Additional Values to File section.

If any value required for the selected ACH Transfer Type is not defined in the imported ACH file, it needs to be defined in the Apply additional values section.

  1. In the Apply additional values, complete the following fields.

+ Add value

Click the +Add value hyperlink to define an additional value to the file.

  1. In the Offset account options section, complete the following:

Offset account defined in file

Select whether the offset account is defined within the import file.

Select offset account

Select whether the offset account is added into the import file.

  1. In the Effective date option section, complete the following fields.

Date in file

Select whether the effective date is defined within the import file.

Prompt for date

Select whether the ACH user is prompted for the effective date during the file import process.

Default current business date

Select whether the current business date is added into the file during the import process.

In the User access section complete the following:

  1. Click Continue. The Import file - [Template Name] page appears which provides an overview of the data mapping.

  2. Type the Effective date and click Continue. The File summary page appears.

  1. Sign out of Business Online or Abiliti.
